Haileybury Almaty's 2nd Annual Eco Symposium brought sustainability to life for our Year 7 and 8 students in an unforgettable way.
We kicked off the day with powerful presentations from the Almaty Air Initiative and Narxoz University, highlighting key environmental issues facing our local community. Students then rotated through engaging workshops, where they got their hands dirty in the school garden, created paper from recycled scraps, turned old newspapers into tote bags, and discussed the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. An exhibition featuring local eco-conscious companies rounded out the day, showcasing real-life solutions to global problems.
