Music and Drama activities allow pupils to take risks in a safe and encouraging environment, develop social interactions with pupils of other ages and enhance their development of leadership skills. It gives them an opportunity to extend their skills whilst having fun with like-minded peers.

From instrumental and singing groups to drama groups and school productions, Haileybury offers something for everyone. Our performing arts facilities are impressive; we have a new Theatre, extensive practice rooms and a recording studio, a performing arts suite and three teaching zones. We offer a peripatetic music programme which is very popular with pupils throughout the junior and senior school.

Throughout the year, Mr Ewen Sinclair, the Head of Performing Arts, has been trialling an innovative approach to music lessons that promotes creativity, confidence, and student identity. The project has been developed with the IB learner profile in mind and harnesses student feedback to perfect the curriculum mechanics. As we move into the new academic year, the curriculum will be further enhanced with a greater variety of resources.
