Celebrating Kazakhstan’s Independence Day at Haileybury Astana

This week, Haileybury Astana celebrated the upcoming Independence Day of Kazakhstan with a vibrant and meaningful series of events, uniting our school community in honour of the country’s rich history and traditions.

The celebrations were thoughtfully organised by the Kazakh Language Department, which curated a range of activities designed to immerse students in the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan. From interactive lessons to engaging games, pupils explored the beauty and significance of Kazakh traditions. Creativity flourished as students crafted intricate Kazakh-themed plates and cups and expressed their national pride through artistic depictions of the iconic Kazakh flag.

A major highlight of the week was the special assemblies that brought the entire school together. These events featured outstanding performances by our talented students, who showcased their skills and passion in a way that left a lasting impression on everyone present. Through song, dance, and dramatic presentations, they captured the essence of Kazakh culture and the spirit of independence.

The week-long celebration not only emphasised the importance of Kazakhstan’s Independence Day but also fostered a sense of unity and pride among students, teachers, and parents. At Haileybury Astana, we strive to build strong connections with our heritage while inspiring a brighter future for all.
