Congratulations to our Bronze Adventurers of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award!
This term, our Year 10, 11, and 12 students completed their Bronze Adventurous Journeys as part of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. This program, available to all pupils from Year 10 upwards, boosts resilience and achievement through four sections: skill, physical recreation, service, and the Adventurous Journey.
They trained all year, learning navigation, campcraft, cooking, first aid, and route planning. The weekly CCA training sessions culminate in the Adventurous Journey, where pupils are fully self-reliant on a two-day overnight hike and camp. They planned routes and menus, carried all their gear, and walked for two days, camping overnight at Kulager.
Despite tough weather, they showed amazing teamwork and perseverance. Proud of you all!
