Haileybury Astana starts the new school year with exciting developments!
The summer holidays are now behind us, and the energy at Haileybury Astana is palpable as we welcome back our pupils and staff. Last Friday marked the celebration of the Day of Knowledge, a cherished tradition signalling the start of the academic year.
This year brings fresh faces, with new teachers and pupils joining our vibrant community. But that's not all – we’re thrilled to announce an ambitious new project: the construction of our state-of-the-art STEM Centre. This initiative is part of our continuous effort to expand and elevate the educational experience we offer.
We proudly began the new academic year with our traditional Day of Knowledge celebration at Haileybury Astana.
The event was graced by esteemed guests from Haileybury UK, including the Chairman of the Haileybury UK Board, Mr Martin Rayfield, along with Governors from Haileybury Almaty and Haileybury Astana, Mr Mark Smith and Mr Paul Hunt. Our strong bond with our British counterparts is something we greatly value, and it was a pleasure to host them, showcasing how Knowledge Day is celebrated at Haileybury Astana and Almaty.
The Day of Knowledge is a significant event for Haileybury Astana, offering a perfect moment to reflect on our outstanding achievements over the past 10 years.
Haileybury Astana is the largest school in the region, which is vital because it allows us to provide the broadest range of opportunities for our students, both academically and in extracurricular activities. This breadth of opportunities is key to securing places at the world's top universities.
We have consistently improved and developed over 10 years, resulting in IB results that surpass most top UK schools and are unmatched in the region.
This year, our school achieved outstanding IB exam results, with an average score of 35, surpassing the global average of 30. Nearly 44% of our students scored 36 points or higher, and just under 48% of subject grades were awarded a 6 or 7. Impressively, 89% of our students received top grades in the Theory of Knowledge component.
Our graduates are joining elite universities like MIT, University of California, Durham, UCL, Edinburgh, British Columbia, Toronto, HKST, Amsterdam, and more.
At Haileybury Astana, growth and development are constants. With every passing year, we strive to exceed expectations and set new benchmarks in academic excellence. Our ultimate goal? To provide our students with a world-class education that paves the way for their bright futures.
Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey together!
