Astana HUB lecture at Haileybury Astana

How to start your startup? What is the difference between a startup and a company? How did Airbnb, Uber and SpaceX succeed? Sixth Form pupils learned a lot of new information about creating start-ups and their development during an interactive workshop held by representatives of Astana HUB Meruert Kenesova, Aybar Usenov and Daulet Beimurzinov.

After an interactive presentation, the speakers of the technopark offered pupils to plunge right into the entrepreneurial environment to find out what path startups go through in real life. Students divided into small groups and in a short period of time came up with their own idea for a startup, identified a business model and chose a target audience.

One of the important things of the lecture was a pitch presentation aimed at attracting investment. Each group spoke about their product and showcased how the product they came up with can make the life of the target audience easier. Everybody put up a great performance and every idea presented was authentic and original.

At the end of the meeting Meruert, Aybar and Daulet wished Haileybury Astana pupils to be curious, never give up and dream big.

The lecture by Astana HUB speakers took place at Makerspace, a new space in Haileybury Astana. This new creative facility allows theory to be put into practice.

Students generate ideas, explore areas of interest on their own, and exchange knowledge with classmates. Apart from learning to interact with high technologies, Makespace allows hands-on learning.
