World Wetlands Day at the Junior School

There is no denying that water plays an essential role in our daily lives. This week, we are having special Eco assemblies in the Junior School to celebrate World Wetlands Day on 2nd February!

In the last decades,  there is less and less fresh water on our planet. The 2021 campaign highlights the contribution of wetlands to the quantity and quality of fresh, pure water.  Water and wetlands are connected in an inseparable coexistence vital to life, our well-being, and our planet's health.

Yesterday Milepost One had their assembly, and we really enjoyed reading a fantastic story called "King of the Swamp". This story is perfect for raising awareness of a unique wetland, climate and looking after nature.

Haileybury Astana is very thankful to our Junior Eco Warriors who contributed fascinating facts and quiz questions about wetlands for the assemblies and our Wetlands Eco Kahoot quiz, which our KS2 children will complete next week.
